Algoza Musical Instrument of Rajasthan

Algoza is a famous wood wind musical instrument. Mainly it is much known in the region of Punjab. It is also called as the name of jori or ngoza. It symbolizes as a pair of wooden flute. The player of Algoza plays it by using three figures in each side of the flute. An expertise player of this musical instrument can generate a variety of rhythm and sound through the wind flows from his mouth. One can use slow breathing style for slow and high breathing for high level of sound.

Algoza generally uses as a fine festival musical instrument and to generate melody in religious or happy environment. In the state of Rajasthan there are many variation of this musical instrument with various locations.

Algoza is a common or much known musical instrument in the region of Ajmer-Tonk in Rajasthan. In Rajasthan there is a tribe of kathodis which uses this instrument as pawari a flute instrument made by bamboo and uses vertically during performance.

The professional music player of Rajasthan also uses this instrument for their various performances on various occasions like Langas.
