Bharat lila is a very differ kind of folk art in Orissa. Bharat lila is a theatre folk dance drama. Bharat lila is a very dramatic art which perform by some professional theatre artists. In Orissa it is very popular in Ganjam district.  Jatra community of Orissa is a tribe which originated this traditional art in the state. Jatras perform this melodies art in various theatrical troupes. They travel from one village to another village for perform this art. They do Bharat lila for their livelihood. They earn money from this art.

Bharat lila is not only famous in Orissa but also very famous inAssamstate ofIndia. Jatras narrate various mythological and religious tales in Bharat lila. They perform various stories of great epic of Hindu religion like Mahabharata, Ramayana etc. Bharat lila involves various parts of human feelings such as anger, love, separation, joy etc. it revolves around expressive acts and dance of dancers. Troupes of Jatra people perform their folk art at open theatre or open ground. Some of member of troupe plays various roles and some of them play musical instruments. They dance according to requirement of presentation.
