Rajasthan is a very mysterious place in sense of various tribes and culture. Each type of culture has its own different type of traditions. It is so beautiful folk dance to watch. But Chang dance is a folk dance which is different from other folk dances of Rajasthan. It is a folk dance in which various casts of Rajasthan can participate or can play. Chang dance is a form of folk dance of Rajasthan in which only male dancers can participate. It is a group dance with a single circular file. Each person or dancer of this group hold a musical instrument called chang or dhap.

Actually chang is an instrument of single sided drum which can beat by only a side to create beautiful sound. This musical instrument gives a name Chang to this folk dance. Some dancer who dressed with female attire does not need to held chang.
During performance a person plays a flute with magical musical sound. Dancer moves with various posses according to rhythm of music. They sing and create rhythmetic environment. Singing will be stop when they play chang or with rhythm of flute.
Chang dance we can see on the ceremony of Holi in Rajasthan. At a place of Rajasthan Rajaldesar on the occasion of Holi chang dance looks so beautiful and different. It is a very glorious and typical type of dance performance in state of Rajasthan. When we watch it we can feel how it has a unique and different culture from others.
