Andaman & Nicobar is a part of Southeast Asia. The region of Andaman & Nicobar located in the Hind Ocean. There are two Islands named Andaman and Nicobar.
The capital of this group of Islands is Andamanese town of Port Blair. The territory of Andaman & Nicobar is spread out more than seven hundreds km. This is the unique part of the world which covered by the endless forests, a huge variety of birds and natural flowers which make this part so beautiful and gorgeous. The main features of this land are the sandy beaches, coconut palms and the flora and fauna.
The rare geographical condition like the crystal clear water, an excellent scope of water sports and underwater marine life make this part a natural gift of the god. It is the paradise for the tourists who want an environment of peace and fresh air to live a life like adventures journey.
Mythological the name of Andaman come from the name of Hanuman an Indian lord. Andaman Island is the group which is the land of various tribes living here are Great Onges, Andamanese, Jarawas, Sentinatese, and all of Negrito origin while Nicobar Island is the home of Nicobar’s and Shompens tribes. People of this part of the world are from all faiths like Muslim, Hindu, Sikh and Christians.
It is the unique place and famous for all languages like Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, English, Punjabi, Nicobari and Bengali etc. The people believe in various religion and various culture and there are inter marriages and inter religion is common among them.
Each place of human homes has its own culture and folk tradition which influences by the religion, nature of people, living style of people, thinking style of people and the requirement of nature. Thus Andaman & Nicobar has its own unique folk culture and tradition which consists a unique patterns of folk dances and folk music. Though, the Andaman & Nicobar is a land of various tribes so it influences by them.
Andaman Nicobar is the place of heavens for every body who wants to visit a paradise. It is the land of natural jewels and the god gifted environment. It is the famous place for the tourist too to visit and learn about the historic culture of this Island of India.
Nicobarese dance is one of the most important dances of this land. The Nicobarese dance is presented by the tribe of Nicobarese living in the Island of Car Nicobar. This dance organizes in the Pig festival by the male and female both. During the dance performance all dances move their body with the music and they dressed with the coconut leaves. It is the most beautiful dance form of this Island. There are more other dances forms which can influence our mood by the charming dance presentations. Nicobarese dance is very famous in all around the world for its Pig fighting. The Pig fighting we can watch in early in the morning of next day of the Pig festival night.
