Dappu is a very important dance form of the state Andhra Pradesh. It is the dance form which is major part of Telangana region of Andhra Pradesh. The name of this dance form traced from the name of a musical instrument drum ‘Dappu’.
It is a major and one of the most popular instruments of Andhra Pradesh. Dappu is not only useable for dappu folk dance but it is also usable for any type of public announcement.
Dappu’s manufacturing is not so critical it is manufactured by Udisa wooden planks and have a radius of six to eight inches. The performance of Dappu folk dance started with an invocation called which known as a name of “Pradhana Dappu”. All dance move with slow speed in a round. One followed by another. 
About Dappu folk dance it is a saying that it is a very soft and watches able dance performance in all around the state of Andhra Pradesh. This dance performance depends upon the moves of various steps of the dancers.
Dappu folk dance is performed by talented dancer who are practiced this dance many times. It is the dance style of Andhra Pradesh we can see easily in rural area of this state. It is the dance performance which is performed as a large celebration of festivals and dramas. Hyderabad and Vijayawada are the most famous cities of this state which consist the culture of Dappu folk dance as luxuries. These cities organized their various celebrations with the preparation of the Dappu folk dance.
